Once upon a time, in a cozy mountain village, there lived a small lantern named Luma. Luma wasn’t as big as the streetlights or as bright as the bonfire in the town square. In fact, her glow was soft and gentle—just enough to light a small room.

All the other lanterns laughed at Luma.
“Your light is too tiny!” said Blaze, the large red lantern.
“You’ll never be chosen for the Great Village Festival!” teased Sparkle, the golden lamp.

But Luma didn’t get angry. She believed, deep inside, that her light had a purpose.

Every night, Luma practiced glowing just a little brighter. She ate healthy oil drops, kept her glass clean, and whispered to herself,

“Small light, big heart.”

Then one day, a heavy storm rolled through the mountains. The winds howled, the rains poured, and all the big lanterns went out.
The village was covered in darkness.

People stumbled, scared and cold, trying to find their way. That’s when Luma quietly lit herself and shone through a tiny window.
Her warm glow caught the attention of a little boy named Kavi. He picked her up and walked with her through the storm, helping neighbors, guiding elders, and cheering up frightened children.

Soon, everyone in the village followed Luma’s light. She led them to the safety of the town hall, where they stayed warm until the storm passed.

The next morning, the village cheered and hugged Luma.
“You saved us!” said the Mayor.
“Your light may be small—but your courage is the biggest of all!”

From that day on, Luma became the star of every festival, proudly shining from the top of the village tower. And whenever someone felt too small or unimportant, they remembered Luma’s story.
