Stories for Kids, Little Red Riding Hood
Stories for kids Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl who was loved by everyone. She always wore a bright red hooded cape her grandmother made for her, so everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.
One day, Little Red Riding Hood’s mother said, “Your grandmother is not feeling well. Please take this basket of goodies to her, but remember: stay on the path and don’t talk to strangers.”
“Of course, Mother!” said Little Red Riding Hood cheerfully. She grabbed the basket and skipped into the forest.
As she walked along the path, she met a sly wolf. “Good morning, Little Red Riding Hood. Where are you going?” he asked with a smile that showed his sharp teeth.
“I’m going to visit my grandmother,” she said. “She lives in the cottage at the end of this path.”
The wolf’s eyes gleamed. “How lovely! Why don’t you pick some flowers for her? They would surely cheer her up!”
Little Red Riding Hood thought that was a nice idea. She wandered off the path to gather flowers. Meanwhile, the wolf ran straight to the grandmother’s house, knocked on the door, and pretended to be Little Red Riding Hood.

“Come in, dear,” said Grandma.
The wolf leaped inside, gobbled her up, and dressed in her clothes. He climbed into her bed and waited.
Soon, Little Red Riding Hood arrived. She knocked on the door and heard a raspy voice say, “Come in, my dear.”
When she entered, she found her “grandmother” in bed. But something seemed strange.
“Grandmother, what big ears you have!” she said.
“All the better to hear you with, my dear,” said the wolf.
“Grandmother, what big eyes you have!”
“All the better to see you with, my dear.”
“Grandmother, what big teeth you have!”
“All the better to EAT you with!” roared the wolf, jumping out of bed.
Little Red Riding Hood screamed and ran, but luckily, a woodcutter nearby heard her cries. He rushed in, scared the wolf away, and rescued Grandma from the wolf’s belly.
Little Red Riding Hood hugged her grandmother tightly. “I’ll never wander off the path again,” she promised.
And from that day on, she remembered her mother’s advice and stayed safe in the forest.
Moral of the Story: Always listen to your parents’ advice and be cautious of strangers.
