“Benny the Sleepy Bear”

Bedtime Stories: In the middle of a quiet forest lived Benny, a tiny brown bear who loved honey more than anything in the world.
But today, Benny was very, VERY sleepy.

He yawned so wide, even the butterflies stopped to look.

“Why are you so sleepy, Benny?” asked Milo the Mouse.

“I tried counting stars last night,” Benny said, rubbing his eyes.
“But there were too many! I fell asleep somewhere after one hundred… or maybe nine hundred… I don’t know.”

Milo giggled. “Stars are too many to count! Try counting honey jars next time.”

Benny smiled and curled up under a big warm tree.

He whispered,
“One honey jar… two honey jars… three honey jars…”

Before he could reach five,
Snoooreee…

The wind sang softly,
the leaves danced gently,
and Benny slept the sweetest, dreamiest sleep.

And in his dream?
He floated on a cloud made of honey.

Good night, Benny.
