Bedtime Story for Kids: Milo and the Puzzle of Numbers

Milo was a little monkey who lived in the jungle. He loved solving puzzles, but there was one he could never figure out—the Golden Puzzle of Numbers. It was said that whoever solved it would open a treasure chest filled with jungle magic.

One day, Milo found the puzzle under a tall banyan tree. It was a big wooden board with numbers and empty spaces. A riddle was carved into it:

“Fill the spaces one through ten,
Add them up to try again.
The numbers must equal twenty-five,
Only then will the treasure come alive!”

Milo scratched his head. “How can I do this?” he wondered.

Just then, his best friend, Lila the parrot, flew by. “Don’t give up, Milo!” she squawked. “Let’s work together!”

Step 1: Counting the Numbers

Milo began by putting the numbers 1 to 10 in random spaces.
But when Lila counted them, the total was 40!
“That’s too high!” she said.

Step 2: Trying Again

Milo thought hard. He removed some numbers and replaced them with smaller ones. This time, the total was 28.
“Closer!” cheered Lila. “We just need to go a bit lower.”

Step 3: Teamwork Wins

Just then, Toby the turtle arrived. “Why not use the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5?” he suggested.
Milo and Lila added them together: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 25!
“We did it!” shouted Milo.

The puzzle glowed brightly, and the treasure chest opened. Inside, they found colorful fruits and shiny golden leaves. But the real treasure was a note that said:

“The best rewards come from learning and working together!”

Milo, Lila, and Toby danced with joy, proud of their hard work and teamwork.

Moral of the Story:

When faced with challenges, never give up. Work together, try different ideas, and you’ll find success!
