🐢 The Brave Little Turtle

In a quiet forest, there lived a little turtle named Tommy.
Tommy was kind, gentle, and always ready to help. But there was one thing the other animals teased him about—his speed.

“Look at Tommy! He’s so slow!” laughed the rabbits.
“You’ll never win a race,” giggled the squirrels.
Even the birds chirped, “Hurry up, slowpoke!”

Tommy felt sad sometimes, but he told himself,
“It’s okay. I may be slow, but I have other strengths too.”

One day, all the animals were playing near the river. Suddenly, the wooden bridge broke!
The animals were stuck on one side, and no one could cross the rushing water to get help. The rabbits were too afraid to swim, the squirrels were too tiny, and the birds couldn’t carry everyone’s message.

Everyone looked worried—until Tommy stepped forward.
“I will swim across,” he said bravely.

The animals gasped.
“But Tommy, the water is too strong!” they cried.
Tommy smiled and said,
“I may be slow, but I am strong and steady. I can do it.”

With courage, Tommy slipped into the river. Slowly but surely, he paddled his little legs. The current pushed him, but he never gave up. Step by step, stroke by stroke, Tommy swam across.

At last, he reached the other side and called for help. Soon, strong animals arrived to fix the bridge. All the animals cheered when they saw Tommy return.

“You are not just slow,” said the rabbits. “You are brave!”
“You are strong,” added the squirrels.
“You saved us all,” the birds chirped happily.

From that day on, no one laughed at Tommy’s speed again. Instead, they respected him for his bravery and strength.
