The Mysterious Seeds
Educational Story: One sunny morning, their cheerful teacher, Miss Lily, handed each child in her class a tiny packet of seeds. With a warm smile, she said, “Plant these seeds and observe what happens. Write down everything you see. You’re going to become little scientists!”
Timmy and Tina, the best of friends, were thrilled. They couldn’t wait to begin their experiment. As soon as school ended, they rushed to the small garden behind their house.
“Let’s plant them here!” said Tina, pointing to a sunny patch.
Together, they carefully dug small holes, placed the seeds inside, and gently covered them with soil. Timmy brought a watering can and sprinkled water over the fresh soil.
Every day after school, they visited their garden. They watered the soil, pulled out tiny weeds, and jotted down their observations in a notebook.
On the third day, Timmy noticed something exciting. “Tina, look! A tiny green sprout!” he exclaimed.
“Wow!” Tina replied. “But why is it growing so slowly? And why does it seem to lean toward the sun?”
Timmy scratched his head. “Why does the plant need sunlight, anyway?”
Tina thought for a moment and said, “Let’s find out!”
They rushed to the village library and borrowed a book about plants. They learned about something fascinating called photosynthesis.
“Plants use sunlight to make their own food,” Tina explained as she read aloud.
“So, it’s like the sun is cooking for the plants!” Timmy exclaimed with a laugh.
Over the next few weeks, their little plants grew taller and healthier. Bright green leaves spread out, and soon, tiny flowers began to bloom.
Timmy and Tina couldn’t wait to show their teacher what they had learned. On a big poster, they drew pictures of their plants and explained how sunlight, water, and soil helped them grow.
Miss Lily was delighted. “You’ve done a fantastic job!” she said. “This is what science is all about—observing, questioning, and discovering.”
