Tommy and the Magic Word

(A Motivational Story for Kids)

Once upon a time, in a small cheerful town, lived a little boy named Tommy. He was playful, funny, and loved making new friends. But there was one little problem—Tommy never said “Please” or “Thank You.”

When he wanted something, he would say,
“Give me that!”
or
“I want it now!”

One day, Tommy’s mom baked delicious cookies. As soon as he saw them, Tommy shouted,
“Give me a cookie!”

His mom smiled and said,
“Tommy, there’s a magic word that can open hearts and make everyone happy. Can you guess it?”

Tommy was curious.
“A magic word? Like Abracadabra?”

His mom laughed.
“No, even more powerful. The word is… Please!”

Tommy didn’t believe it.
“How can a small word be magic?”

That night, Tommy decided to test it.
He went to his sister and said,
“Can I borrow your crayons… please?”

His sister smiled and handed him the crayons.
“Of course, Tommy! Since you asked so nicely.”

Tommy was amazed! The next morning, he tried it again with his dad:
“Can you help me build a toy car… please?”

His dad grinned,
“Sure thing, buddy!”

Tommy realized that saying “Please” and “Thank You” made everyone happy—and it made him feel good too. From that day on, Tommy used these magic words every day.

Moral of the Story:

Politeness is powerful! Words like “Please” and “Thank You” are magic keys that open hearts and bring kindness everywhere.
